I woke up to a pair of hands at my hips and warm, aroused breaths panting the skin nearby. It was still pitch black in the room and I felt like I’d just fallen asleep, disoriented. It took me a second to realize what was happening, but as soon as I did a rush of panic hit me like nothing else. I patted the space beside me, and Roxie side was cold. But being sleep drunk as well as knowing I had a few drinks a fear she had even been here in the first place flashed before me…

Which brought me back to the person’s hands at my thighs.

They’d slipped my boxers down, pressing warm lips at the line of where they’d been, and then lower. A tongue touched the tip of my hard shaft and I grabbed the person’s shoulders in a frenzy, bringing them up.

“Roxie?” Fuck almighty, let that be her down there. I couldn’t see anything even as I got the person above me since the curtains canceled out the light in the room, but I knew damn well the person was as naked as I was, their bare arms under my hands. A light laugh hit the air, and for a moment, I think I caught her voice.

“Yes…” came the voice again, breathless.

A kiss pressed to my mouth and I flinched, still not certain it was her on top of me. My hands smoothed down arms, a waist, then back up, and the lack of familiarity in my hands scared me more. Holding on, I had the distinct feeling if I squeezed too hard I might crush these arms. Like they were fragile, and I never felt that way with Roxie. She was also upset the night before and I wasn’t sure she’d be doing this, wanting to be intimate with me.

The warmth of a mouth hovered over mine again, but I moved my hands, bringing them to this person’s face.

“When was the first time you told me you loved me?” I asked; only she’d know that.

Silence touched the air, but then a heated breeze moved over my lips. A kiss touched, hot like fire, and this time? This time I didn’t stop it. I brought the arms closer, smelling everything Roxie was clouding over her me, feeling her love in her lips.

I could never not know that.

“In your Gram’s barn,” she whispered, my girl. It could be no one else. “Right after you told me.”

Fuck, how much I missed her.

I gripped her body, pushing an arm around her naked waist. This brought her to my chest and our warm flesh met, her nipples skidding my pecks. I pressed a hand to her cheek, kissing her hard.

“Let me turn on a light,” I told her. “I want to see you.”

Reaching over, I touched the base of the lamp on the nightstand, getting the first dim setting via the touch. But I only got a glimpse of the pretty girl wearing my ring before she leaned over herself and made the room dark again.
